Cloth of Gold

Cloth of Gold is a beautiful annual plant usually seen growing along roadsides in the desert Southwest.

Once the spring rains start, the plant begins to quickly grow. Flowers are a bright golden-yellow and flowering lasts several weeks in the summer.

The plant is very heat and drought tolerant, requiring little water and full sun.

Seeds are easy to grow and can be collected as soon as the seed pods are dry.

Cloth of Gold is a great wildflower and low water plant for desert xeriscape.
