All Thorn Plants

All Thorn, also called Crucifixion Thorn is found sporadically in the desert Southwest.

The plant is evergreen, requires full sun and is very heat and drought tolerant.

There are no leaves, only sharp green thorns. The tallest one we have seen was about six feet high and wide.

You probably can't find this plant in your local nursery, so collecting the seeds and growing your own would be your best bet.

Not many people would want this plant in their landscape, but if you have an area you want to desiginate as off-limits, this would be your plant. I doubt anyone would try to get past an All Thorn. The thorns are hard and long and will puncture the best of tires.
