Japanese Maple trees are deciduous, slow to moderate growers with moderate water requirments.
They only grow 15 to 25 feet high and are very well suited for the patio garden or anywhere a small ornamental tree is needed.
Japanese Maples don't like hot winds and tend to get scorched leaves in the desert summer heat of the Southwest, but if they can be planted in a protected area, the tree is really worth the effort.
Very nice in containers!
